Important Notice – 304 Stainless Steel Sinks

About Rust Marks & Water Marks

All Perth Sinks stainless steel sinks are manufactured from 304 (18/10) grade stainless steel, which is highly corrosion resistant and does not rust under normal use.

Occasionally, rust-coloured spots or water marks may appear on the sink surface. These are surface deposits, not corrosion of the sink itself, and are usually caused by:

  • Limescale or mineral deposits from water

  • Iron particles or metal filings coming into contact with the sink

  • Contact with rusty tools, screws, or other metal items during installation or renovation

This is common during building or renovation works and does not indicate a product defect.


Warranty & Responsibility

In accordance with product care and warranty guidelines:

  • Surface marks caused by normal use, water quality, environmental factors, or cleaning methods

  • Including water marks, surface staining, or cosmetic changes

are considered fair wear and tear and are not classified as manufacturing defects. These conditions are therefore not covered under warranty.


Cleaning & Maintenance

Most surface marks can be easily removed with proper cleaning:

  • Use a soft sponge or cloth

  • Apply a stainless steel cleaner or metal polish

  • Wipe gently along the grain of the stainless steel

  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry the sink after cleaning

Regular cleaning and drying will help maintain the appearance and longevity of your sink.

Stainless steel sinks are a durable, premium product, but like all quality materials, they require correct use and regular care. Proper maintenance is essential to keep your sink looking its best over time.
